Pakistani athlete Zainuddin Tareen won gold
Pakistani athlete Zainuddin Tareen won gold in the 4th Asia IKD Karate Championship in the under-18 age category. He brought pride to Pakistan by defeating Tajikistan in the quarter-finals, Iraq in the semi-finals, and Iran in the final.
The championship, held in Isfahan, Iran, concludes today. A total of 11 Asian countries participated, including Pakistan, Iraq, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Nepal, Oman, Sri Lanka, Turkmenistan, Kuwait, Indonesia, and the host country, Iran.
Around 80 international, Asian, and national referees were involved. Pakistan’s national karate team, led by IKD Pakistan President Jalaluddin Tareen, competed in the event.
