Agha Khan Prince Rahim al-Hussaini receives President of Pakistan and Dawoodi Bohra Leaders

Lisbon: (Web Desk) Agha Khan Prince Rahim al-Hussaini today welcomed His Excellency Asif Ali Zardari, President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, at the Diwan of the Ismaili Imamat. Also in attendance were leaders of the Dawoodi Bohra community representing His Holiness Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, including Shahzada Ammar Jamaluddin, brother of His Holiness, and Shahzada Mehlam Yunus Hakimuddin, nephew of His Holiness.

Both delegations expressed their condolences on the passing of Agha Khan Shah Karim and extended congratulations to Agha Khan Prince Rahim al-Hussaini on his ascension as the 50th Imam of the Shia Ismaili Muslims.

On the same day, His Majesty King Charles conferred the title of “His Highness” upon Agha Khan Prince Rahim al-Hussaini, continuing a longstanding tradition upheld by the British Monarchy since the era of the 46th Imam, Mawlana Hasan Ali Shah, Aga Khan I.
