Pakistan, Bangladesh Vow to Deepen Bilateral Cooperation in Trade and Connectivity
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met with H.E. Professor Muhammad Yunus, Chief Adviser of the Government of Bangladesh, on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.
During the warm and cordial meeting, the two leaders reviewed the state of Pakistan-Bangladesh relations and discussed avenues to strengthen cooperation in diverse areas, including trade, regional connectivity, and people-to-people exchanges.
Prime Minister Shehbaz reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to building constructive and forward-looking relations with Bangladesh, rooted in mutual respect, trust, and the shared aspiration for regional peace and prosperity.
Professor Muhammad Yunus appreciated Pakistan’s initiative to enhance engagement and underlined the importance of expanding bilateral trade and cultural linkages.
The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere, reflecting the mutual commitment of both sides to work together for the well-being of their people and the stability of South Asia.
