Sindh Minister Ali Hassan Zardari Pays Surprise Visit to Karachi Central Jail — Reviews Prison Conditions and Inmates’ Welfare
KARACHI (Samaj News) — Sindh Minister for Works & Services and Prisons, Ali Hassan Zardari, paid a surprise visit to the Karachi Central Jail to review the overall condition and management of the facility.
During the visit, the minister met on-duty jail police officers and inquired about their responsibilities and challenges.
He inspected various sections of the jail, reviewed cleanliness and hygiene standards, and visited the prison hospital, where he met and inquired about the health of the inmates under treatment.
Ali Hassan Zardari also interacted with visitors and families of prisoners, listening to their concerns and suggestions.
The minister visited the jail kitchen, reviewed food preparation and hygiene, and even tasted the food being served to inmates.
He inspected the video link online system room and met skilled inmates, appreciating the handcrafted items they had made and encouraging them to continue their work.
Zardari directed the jail administration to pay special attention to skilled inmates and ensure they are supported in developing their abilities.
“The Sindh government aims to transform all prisons into true reform centers. Any negligence in the treatment, food, or healthcare of inmates will not be tolerated,”
said Minister Ali Hassan Zardari.
